Site Engineer

Full Details:
As a Site Engineer with VINCI Building, you will be an integral part of the construction delivery team operating across the Midlands region, delivering defined sections of works, understanding the project set-up, the roles played by different members of the team and details of the overall target outcome for the project.
Your day to day duties will include:
- Assist in the preparation of ‘as-built drawings
- Assist in establishing effective systems to record work completed, updating the Quality Plan accordingly, and ensuring the same is applied by subcontractors and suppliers.
- Produce short-term programmes to complete the works required.
- Assist in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, i.e., drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork etc.
- Regularly checking the setting out points and benchmarks and checking that all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate and recorded accordingly.
- Completing Daily Diaries.
- Allocate tasks to Assistant Engineers and liaise with Trades Supervisors and manage the task to completion.
- Ensure all works and personnel meet all Health, Safety and Quality standards.
The Person:
- Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable.
- Familiar in Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical & digital levels) for Setting Out & Survey.
- Familiar with Quality Management System and in writing RAMS.
- Proven people and project management skills and team leader with organisational skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to influence others.
- A good team player and communicator who is able to work with all levels of the organisation.
