VINCI Building have an exciting opportunity for a Social Value Manager to join our Team to oversee & manage various aspects related to social value delivery across our London & North region which ensures consistency throughout the project life cycle.

We are looking for an individual who shares our passion for the projects we deliver, whilst being able to work within a fun and hardworking team environment. Importantly, you will have previous experience in construction project delivery for a main contractor in a similar role. 

Your responsibilities will include bid support, creating social value plans, attending meetings, managing, and monitoring social value performance, coordinating activities, and promoting social value through marketing efforts. The role also involves data verification, reporting, and generating case studies.


The Role:

  • Participating in meetings related to project bids and proposals.
  • Bid Support and Creating Project Social Value Plans: Assisting with bid preparation and developing plans to enhance social value within projects.
  • Participating in interviews related to project selection or assessment.
  • Engaging with clients to discuss social value objectives and progress.
  • Overseeing the implementation of social value initiatives and tracking their impact.
  • Setting up and reviewing Client Reporting, establishing reporting mechanisms and ensuring accurate data collection.
  • Promoting social value achievements through marketing and public relations efforts.
  • Providing guidance, supporting champions in executing social value activities.
  • Verifying the accuracy and consistency of project-related information.
  • Reporting Project Progress to Regional Directors, providing updates on social value performance to the management team.
  • Regional Social Value Strategy Ownership, developing and implementing social value strategies at regional level.
  • Encouraging suppliers and contractors to participate in social value initiatives to ensure supply chain buy-in.
  • Delivering Social Value Activities, actively contributing to social value outcomes within projects and across regions.
  • Participating in Framework/Local Authority Social Value Meetings/Workshops: Collaborating with external stakeholders to align social value efforts.
  • Organising Events (e.g., Charity Events, Meet the Buyer): Planning and executing events that contribute to social value.


The Person

  • You will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent and be highly competent in MS suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint). 
  • Comprehensive understanding of EDI, Employment & Skills Section 106 supply chain arrangements, responsible businesses, education frameworks. 
  • Full UK driving licence.
